I officially turned 60 at the end of September of 2024– and I’ve been reflecting and thinking about the lessons I’ve learned in these past six decades that really matter or have impacted my life. I would have to say that Gratitude is number one. Most of us put so much energy into thinking about what is wrong in our lives. We need to deliberately take a moment every day to notice what is going right and be grateful for what we have, which if you take the time, with an open mind and heart, you realize is a lot!
Don’t spend precious time on the negative things happening in your life, and replace that time being grateful for what you do have. My father used to say “there are many people out there who have so much more than you, they have better luck and more money than you, BUT there are many who have a lot less than you, plenty of bad luck, and a lot less money. You are richer than some, and poorer than than some!”
“If you believe it will work out, you’ll see opportunities. If you believe it won’t, you’ll see obstacles.” – Wayne Dyer
